Apparently, my ideas turn into full blown businesses…I ain’t mad at it!
Listen Linda…If you know me, then you know I have a habit of getting an idea and then taking it approximately 47 steps too far.
So naturally, what started as “wouldn’t it be cute to pair themed sugar cookies with book boxes?” somehow turned into an LLC, full blown website, boxes taking over my house, entirely too many tabs open on my laptop, annnnd Booked & Baked was created.
And honestly?? I ain’t mad at it!
While I’m over here getting everything launched, we’re also preparing for the start of another school year. Sending 2 off to school and the oldest to college! Anyone else’s summer absolutely fly by? We attended birthday parties, attended graduation parties, planned and hosted a graduation/18th birthday party. We hung out with friends, made smores, said goodbye to friends who moved away and hello to a new normal of a new dance studio in our lives. I even sat down to finally start writing down the ideas of a book I want to write. Literally just jumbled ideas, but you have to start somewhere! A lot has changed, but dang, we’ve got a lot to be grateful for.
I actually didn’t read a whole lot this summer. A few books here and there, just to hold me over.
I did, however, just finish my A Court of Thorns and Roses reread. Book one is officially finished and I’m heading back into A Court of Mist and Fury- which, let’s be real, is where things get GOOD. I mean, if you’re into the Maasverse, you know the anticipation behind every new release. The fandom is REAL, ya’ll- and I’m over here sippin’ that tea!
So welcome to Sunny’s Shelf- my little corner of Booked & Baked where I’ll share what I’m reading, what I’m loving, books that make me question my sanity, fictional men I probably have too many opinions about, random life ramblings, and whatever other bookish nonsense comes to mind.
