How does Build A Box work?

-You tell me what you love- your favorite genres, tropes, spice level, reading vibe, hard no’s, and a few other fun details. I use your answers to handpick a mystery book just for you, then pair it with something sweet and bookish goodies to complete your box.

Do I get to choose my book?

-Nope- that’s part of the fun! Your book is a surprise chosen specifically for you based on your preference. Think of me as your bookish matchmaker.

What if I already own the book you choose?

-When you fill out your preferences, you’ll have a spot to tell me about books and authors you already own or have read. Give me as much information as you can so I can avoid duplicates.

Can I skip a book?

-Absolutely! Want all the Booked & Baked fun without a new read? Choose our Goodies Only option in the Shop.

Can I buy a box as a gift?

-YES. And honestly, that’s going to be such a cute gift. You can fill out the preferences based on the recipient- or enlist them to answer without telling them why.

What if I don’t know what tropes I like?

-No problem! Tropes are optional. Give me your genre and whatever else you know, and I’ll work my bookish matchmaking magic.

What does the spice preference mean?

- This tells me how much romance heat you’re comfortable reading- from sweet to wowwww its way hot in here! Choose your comfort level and I’ll keep it in mind while selecting your book.

What are “hard no’s”?

-Anything you absolutely don’t want to encounter in your book- certain tropes, themes, triggers, authors, graphic content, etc. If something would make you immediately DNF a book, tell me!

-YES! The baked treats are made by Booked & Baked- not mass-produced goodies tossed into your box.
